Our philosophy at Winter Park Paws is quality over quantity. Our all-suite Overnight Boarding facility is designed to be an intimate and limited environment that promotes a peaceful and reduced-stress environment. We are an intimate facility, and that is our niche.

Boarding check-in & check-out
Seven days per week
Check-in 8 am-10 am
Check-out is 8 am-10 am or 4 pm-6:30 pm
An early morning option is available from 7 am-8 a.m. for an additional $10
Boarding check-in is 8 am-10 am or 7 am-8 am for an additional $10 fee. Evening check-in is unavailable.
Check-out is unavailable after 6 pm. Next-day pick-up is required, 8 am-9 am.
Boarding check-in or check-out is unavailable on major marked holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day). Check-in or check-out must be the day before or after the holiday.
Requirements to attend
Interested customers must complete our online dog daycare & boarding new client forms.
Have your dog follow a full-day drop-off temperament evaluation.
Guests wishing to have their pet attend daycare regularly are asked to attend one day per week.
Vaccinations & Preventative Care
We require up-to-date proof (not expired) of the following vaccines:
Rabies
Bordetella (req. every 6-12 months)
Distemper (DHPP)
Canine influenza Bivalent is strongly recommended
Health/Preventive Care Requirements:
Monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention
Routine fecal exams for damaging parasites (every 12 months)
Negative heartworm test every 12 months (puppies may be exempt from this due to age)
Be sure to provide the vet-provided documentation of vaccines to us to obtain on your client file.
Your dog must…
Be 16 weeks or four months of age or older to attend.
Be spayed/neutered by 12 months to attend— Poof required.
Intact females under 12 months may not attend boarding while in a heat cycle and need clearance from a vet to return.
Intact males under 12 months of age who show behavioral issues (Territorial issues, mounting, excessive sniffing of dogs, or scent marking) will be asked to return post-neuter for re-evaluation.
Exhibit positive dog-to-human history.
Be confident, Comfortable, and Safe around other humans, women and men.
Do not exhibit abnormal, inappropriate, out-of-context aggressive behavior (threat, Bite, Lunge, Muzzle Punch, challenge, or attack) toward humans on or off leash.
Not exhibit unhealthy signs of stress, fear, or anxiety (excessive barking, whining, digging, chewing, Jumping, pacing, Seeking, Poop eating, or any Obsessive compulsive behaviors).
Not exhibit unhealthy signs of separation anxiety (excessive barking and Howling, Chewing, Digging and Destruction, Escaping, Pacing, Seeking, Urinating, and Defecating when alone, Coprophagia...)
Dogs must not exhibit signs of destructive behaviors.
Private Suites
Guests have the pleasure of housing in a private suite. Overnight suites are spacious and available in a variety of sizes. Suites come in medium, large, and extra large. We determine placement based on the size of the dog and the number of dogs per household. Pets will be placed accordingly by us. Our family suite is our most extensive accommodation. The family suite is perfect for the multi-dog or large+ breed household. The family suite can comfortably accommodate two extra-large breeds. We pride ourselves on being a personalized and customizable pet care provider. Should your dog need medication administered, lunch, or want a nighttime snack before bedtime, we will happily accommodate as promised, and it is included in their stay.

*All boarding guests must attend a free temperament evaluation day before their boarding stay check-in to ensure they are a good fit for boarding. Depending on your dog's temperament evaluation day, a one-night boarding stay evaluation may be required before your desired boarding stay. Boarding stay evaluations are the total rate.
attendance Information
Pet parents who want to board their pet occasionally throughout the year (not attend daycare frequently) and enjoy their pet participating in daycare during their stay must visit at least once monthly for daycare.
Consistency in the daycare program will give your dog a higher group participation rate. In addition, frequent attendance will allow your dog to remain familiar with our regular dogs, routines, environment, staff handling, manners, and socialization skills. Dogs who do not maintain this recommendation will be re-evaluated during the first day of their boarding check-in. Dogs should be allowed to participate in the daycare program if their behavior aligns with group participation standards.
Should pet parents choose not to follow the attendance recommendation, this will increase the chance that the dog may be ineligible for our daycare program during its boarding stay.
Additionally, when lapses occur, this does not allow your pet to socialize on the same level as a consistent daycare dog. Regular exposure is to the dog's benefit.
At Winter Park Paws, it is crucial to communicate the need for such standards. Canine behavior is complex, and our job as pet care professionals is to understand the pet's needs and provide a space that nurtures their fundamental necessities.
Lastly, customers whose accounts remain inactive in our system for 6+ months will have their accounts deactivated. If you would like to book services with us, you need to request reactivation, and your pet will be required to attend a reassessment day.

Providing our staff and clients with a healthy environment during their stay is part of our quality commitment to you. Reducing the spread of bacteria and viruses within our community is very important. We achieve this by practicing a strict daily cleaning regimen, using Veterinarian grade, pet-safe cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing products. In addition to our strict cleaning practices, our facility is fully air-conditioned with 3 Bi-polar ionization 5-stage medical-grade H13 HEPA filters with Germicidal UVC technology throughout.
BOARDING RESERVATION POLICY
When boarding services are booked to hold a room, a 50% non-refundable deposit is due. The balance is due five days before check-in, except during primary holiday weeks; total compensation is due seven days before check-in. Rooms will not be held without a deposit.
