Winter Park Paws Dog Daycare & Suites℠

Please read all the requirements for our services before setting up your new client account. By signing up as a new client you acknowledge that your pet has met the below requirements.

  • One of the most crucial requirements for our services is providing up-to-date proof (not expired) of the following vaccines. This is vital to ensuring the health and safety of all pets at our facility. Be sure to provide us with the vet-provided documentation of vaccines so we can obtain them in your client file.

    • Rabies

    • Bordetella (3-Way Intranasal strongly reccomended)

      • All dogs must have the Bordetella vaccine. We strongly recommend the intranasal 3-way Bordetella vaccine for its effectiveness against canine cough and related viruses. Please request it from your veterinarian. We also recommend administering it every six months, especially for daycare guests. Not following this recommendation increases the risk of your dog contracting kennel cough.

    • Distemper (DHPP)

    • Canine influenza Bivalent is strongly recommended

    • Monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention

    • Routine fecal exams for damaging parasites (every 12 months)

    • Negative heartworm test every 12 months (puppies may be exempt from this due to age)

    1. Interested customers must complete our new client form online to get set up within our client portal below.

    2. Have your dog complete a full-day drop-off temperament evaluation before the first date of service at the current daycare rate, which is non-refundable.

    3. Guests who wish to have their pets attend daycare regularly are asked to attend one day per week.

    4. Guests who wish to have their pets attend boarding regularly throughout the year are asked to participate in an acclimation visit at least once monthly.

    • Dogs must be at least 16 weeks or older and have all the required vaccines

    • Spayed/neutered by 12 months; proof required. We do not accept unaltered dogs beyond 1 year of age

      • Intact females under 12 months in heat cannot board or attend daycare. Dogs must not be in a heat cycle to attend

      • Intact males under 12 with behavioral issues may return post-neuter for re-evaluation to continue service

    • Must be confident, comfortable, and manageable around people and dogs to participate in daycare

    • Be friendly and non-reactive for puppy class and daycare participation.

    • Positive dog-to-human history required for boarding

    • Positive dog-to-dog and dog-to-human history required for puppy class and daycare

    • No bite or attack history

    • No aggressive or reactive behavior (intent to harm)

    • No signs of excessive stress, fear, or anxiety (inability to self-soothe)

    • No signs of excessive separation anxiety or destructive behaviors that may result in self-inflicted harm from excessive jumping, scratching, digging, chewing, etc.

Our thorough temperament evaluation is designed to determine whether your beloved pet is a suitable fit for our diverse range of services. Whether you are confident your dog will be a good fit or are uncertain about your dog’s compatibility with our daycare environment, an evaluation is required.

If your dog has a previous bite history, exhibits aggression towards people or dogs, struggles with severe separation anxiety, displays excessive barking or whining habits, or destructive tendencies, we cannot accommodate these dogs in our facility. Instead, we recommend that your dog attend a daycare training facility that can better address these specific behaviors.

    1. Interested customers must complete our new client form online to get set up within our client portal below.

    2. Provide proof of up-to-date vaccines (see below).

    3. Semi-potty trained dogs only, please. Accidents are pretty common and expected during this phase of puppyhood. We will discourage indoor accidents to support your potty training efforts effectively. In some rare instances, certain dogs may not fully comprehend potty training and may excessively relieve themselves indoors at any time, anywhere. Unfortunately, this behavior clearly indicates that these dogs are not yet ready to participate in an off-leash group setting, as such actions can form negative habits and may encourage other pups to imitate this behavior.

    4. Sometimes, puppies can exhibit a range of inappropriate social behaviors that are unsafe for socialization and may require the professional intervention of a qualified trainer. Should we determine this to be the case, we will promptly communicate our concerns to you and provide thoughtful recommendations, which may result in class dismissal for the safety of all involved. Puppies who undergo training to address specific behavioral issues may later return for a reevaluation to participate in social activities again.

    5. Guests who wish to have their beloved pets attend our engaging puppy class are kindly asked to participate at least 2 times per month. This frequency helps maintain consistency within the group, ensuring familiarity and a well-structured class environment. Unfortunately, inconsistent attendance can result in the dogs struggling to keep pace with the curriculum and meet group participation requirements, which is essential for their development.

    6. Appointments for the class are reservation-based, and full payment is required before the start of the class. Please note that cancellation fees are non-refundable if notice is given within 24 hours or less, as we must hold your pet’s designated spot for the class.

    7. If your puppy is not feeling well—experiencing symptoms such as diarrhea, coughing, vomiting, or lethargy—we kindly ask that they remain home to keep their canine friends safe and healthy.

    8. Puppies must arrive at class having eaten 1 or more hours before the start time, which is scheduled for 10 AM.

    9. Check-in for class must be completed by 9:45 AM, and pick-up is promptly at noon. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
